Social services removed the child from the mother’s custody claiming her routine drug test at the time of admittance into the hospital show methamphetamines in her body.
This is a normal recourse taken by social services and that of the hospital if they believe the child to be in any danger with the mother. However, in this case they had made an awful mistake. Turns out the test results were mislabeled and the positive results belonged to another mother from that very same day. Our client had to get an attorney involved to investigate the issue and order the court to give the newborn baby back to its parents.
